Festival Central

Street Pastors will be assisting at Festival Central a large scale community event with inflatable’s, large climbing wall, food & refreshments, youth area, games, jugglers, face painters, craft tables and so much more. This will lead to the grand finale of the London 2012 Olympic opening ceremony shown on a huge electronic screen. Festival Central will start at 4:00pm running throughout the evening.

The Olympic Torch Relay

Street Pastors will be present on the streets when the Olympic Torch Relay enters Barking and Dagenham on Day 65. We plan to aid the borough council as Olympic Torch Relay Supervisors while interacting with the community before and after the torch goes by. We will be present at as many areas of the route our numbers will allow to help contribute to a successful Torch Relay throughout Barking and Dagenham.
Venue: Various points along the Olympic Torch Relay Route

Dagenham Town Show

Street Pastors will be present at the Dagenham Town Show where we will interact with the community by helping and listening at every opportunity. Come and visit us at our stand within the Community Spirit Marquee and hear more about what we do.

‘Get to know your local Street Pastors’ Evening

The purpose of the evening is for you to find out more about Street pastors in a relaxed manner. If you or any of your church members are interested in the initiative this is a great opportunity for you to meet current street pastors. You will be able to ask them first hand about their experiences and role in the community over refreshments and beverages. The event begins at 7pm.

Good Friday Walk of Witness

Street Pastors will be assisting with the Walk of Witness. Come and join in the outdoor witness starting at 12pm on Good Friday outside Chadwell Heath Baptist Church. (Opposite Sainsbury's on the High Road). We are then walking along the High Road, west towards Chadwell Heath Station and all the way along Valence Avenue to meet at St Elisabeth's at the corner of Wood Lane/Hewett Road junction. We aim to reach there about 1:30pm approx.
